Summary

OpenBEP4EU is a European initiative to create an open, harmonised and transparent framework for assessing the energy performance of buildings across the EU. By translating EU energy performance standards into a common calculation engine and shared digital toolbox, the project enables consistent evaluation of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), supports renovation planning, and strengthens data comparability for policymakers, market actors, and building owners.

Our role

QUE Technologies leads the technical development of the openBEP4EU Calculation Engine and data model, ensuring that the core energy performance logic is accurate, traceable and interoperable. In addition to building and validating the calculation core, QUE coordinates the integration of digital components, contributes to the open data schema, and supports partners in aligning implementation across tools and pilots.

OpenBEP4EU has received funding from the European Union’s LIFE Programme under grant agreement No. 101167613.
